In 1995 and 1996 Kenner/Hasbro released the first full series of Star Wars action figures since the original Power of the Force line from 1984.  This POTF collection, now nearly 30 years old was part of Kenner-Hasbro's Lucas Arts Licensing agreement before they warded the permanent license in 1997-1998.

This series was a turning point in Star Wars production as Hasbro decided to move away from the straight body poses of the 70's and 80's Kenner figures, and put them all in action poses.  Production also moved away from Hong Kong  to mainland China which made this series a whole new business for Hasbro.

I bought this C-3PO the week it came out.  If you notice, Princess Leia was not photographed as part of the collection.  The back photo was taken before the Princess Leia was ready and approved for production so this is a rare RED card without the Leia photo included in the ensemble toys photo on the back.  The subsequent versions of this card had a new photo which included Leia.
